The photos I took in Iraq have always complemented the narratives I've spun over the years. I never did anything special to them, just a simple resize and that was it. But now that I've been playing with Picasa for awhile, I thought it was time I revamped my pictures. Please take a moment to browse through my new Flickr account. There you will find not just familiar images, but never before seen photos. Enjoy!

The Thunder Run has linked to this post in the blog post From the Front: 06/22/2009 News and Personal dispatches from the front and the home front.
That's a really great photostream Alex. I'm very impressed. You've done some great work. I've put a link to your Photostream on my blog, right under the link to Army of Dude.
Take care and keep up the great work.
If you are not familiar with Iraqi war veteran Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, you should check out his work.
He's taking filmakingf at USC and already has one some awards. His films are availble to watch on his site.
If you haven't seen it, "Now, After" is a good place to start.

All the best.
Nice work Alex!
Some chuckles, some groans, some sighs, and a million questions. I've always loved that you include photos with your blogs. I'm one of those "visual learners" and many of your images/stories are stuck in my brain. I'll always see Chevy in my mind and remember him as your friend and as another great American.

Thanks for providing these. I started to just check a couple, and then couldn't stop until I had gone all the way through. You have a good camera eye. I looked at some shots for a good while, thinking about what they conveyed and also how they conveyed it. Some of the circumstances must have made it a real challenge to give any priority to taking pictures, but it's to our benefit that you did.
